The City of Montridge

Auna turned her head and watched the man fall from the rock, and saw the weird angle his ankle was facing. That was peculiar. He didn't seem to even feel any pain. Auna still felt pain, depending on the wound. Who was that guy? She found her self asking. But she wasn't about to go ask, she had a town to help save...

[GIR]

Noodles grinned at the newcomer. "Hiii! Are you gonna help the city too?"

[Kyuu]

"Uh-huh. I'm gonna help. And yes, I'm a vampire. Just a different kind." Jade replied to both Noodles' and Auna's questions spoken or unspoken.

"Thank you, with your eyes we should be done in no time." Auna smiled at her. " Now all we have to do is just wait for the sun to come down."

[Kyuu]

"Let's get started then!" Jade was actually starting to warm up to Montridge.

[GIR]

"Yeah! I'm ready!" Noodles said, summoning Big'un. She set it at her side and leaned on it like a walking stick.

[Kyuu]

Jade looked at what the non-vampire (Noodles) just summoned. "Is that a noodle?!" she asked.

Auna smiled at Noodle and her enthusiasm and smiled at her....choice of transportation, " To each their own, I suppose." Auna waved her hand and a bag appeared beside her, Auna reached down into it and pulled out a staff. A magical staff, the Staff of Numairian. An extremely ancient, and extinct, magical species. They had created so many magical things, most were destroyed in the village raids over the past centuries. Auna was glad to still have one of the remaining. The staff was taller than her, and its width was smaller around than her wrist. On the top sat a swirling orb held by gold claps on the white wood.

Noodles laughed and replied, "Yeah." Then her mood abruptly changed as it sometimes does and her hair flared red "Gotta problem with that?"

"But is it a Black Opal?" Auna asked walking over to Tigo, with a small smile on her face.

[Kyuu]

When Noodles flared up, Jade felt like she shrunk down to less than a foot tall. "No, no, not at all, I don't have a problem with it! I was just curious!" she stammered

Darius mumbled something nonchalantly about “hoopy froods and how he hated this cruddy planet” in a low tone with the consistency of cooling metal. He wasn’t going to go back there and help them because that would make him look like a spineless idiot and looking like an idiot would be a fate worse then death for him.

He pulled the note out of his pocket again reading it over, a small idea coming to life inside his head. According to this note the barrier was supported by...magic stones, typical but effective he supposed.

So if he found the location of the barrier points and attacked them from there he should be able to deplete the magic enough to be able to create a portal out of here.

~But what about them...the people?~ his newly developed conscious asked himself as he laughed. Who cares, in his mind if he didn’t care then no one else would either. Besides...he had better things to do then rot away in this rat hole town.

"So, when are we going to start?" Jade asked Auna,"Is anyone else coming?"

"When the sun goes down we will start." Auna told Jade, smiling slightly, " Which is only a few minutes away, and I do not know if anyone else is showing up."

[Kyuu]

"Okay, so is there a certain place that we're going to look, or do we just need to look everywhere?" Jade asked, this was going to be fun and easy she decided, considering the fact that she saw better in the dark.
