Well, this roleplay is pretty mainstream. But I don't like being mainstream, so I sort of tried and hopefully, succeeded in taking it off of mainstream.
Okay, I promise I won't say mainstream again.
Now to the wonderful stuff about why Montridge is so wonderful.
Back, way back when, there were twelve towns all like Montridge, scattered about the world. But one by one they started disappearing over the years. It is now 2008 and only Montridge is left.
What is Montridge you may ask?
Well, there is this council of all the species. Human, werewolf ( and all the other were- folk), witches, warlocks, super-humans, and every other not normal kind of species out there. And from the start they knew each species wouldn't get a long with the normal humans, so they made twelve safe towns. Montridge among them.
Over the years the humans have found and obliterated the safe towns, thinking they have finally gotten rid of the 'abominations' they stopped their searches.
Montridge is the last safe town.
Montridge's true location is a secret, because no one travels in or out of that place, you are born in Montridge and you die in Montridge.
Setting:
Montridge spans the floor of a rather large valley, with all sorts of different kinds of housing, trees, huts, caves, underwater caves, houses, mansions, and just plain old tents. You can find any type of super thing imaginable here. Just don't climb over the extremely huge mountains because on the other side is the plain old humans. Boring everyday, mainstream humans.
Sound interesting?

Auna looked over the space beneath her. She was standing at on of the many cliffs that rise over Montridge.
With a sparing glance at the even taller mountains behind her, she let herself fall from the cliff.
Her black clothes were pushed close to her skin and the excess in the back flipped and danced behind her as she fell towards the ground.
Auna just loved to free fall. The landing was sometimes painful, but it never outweighed the wonderful feeling of being weightless-- the feel of flying.
Auna could now see the ground was within fifty feet of her. She straighted her body so she was now a pencil and landed on the ground hard.
She landed on her feet, falling into a roll to carry out her momentum. A smile spread across her face as she stood and looked back up at how far she fell. This was one of the better landings.

Auna looked back up the cliff and drew in a breath, okay one more time and then she would go home. That's all. One more time.
Auna raced to the cliff, moving so fast a human would have trouble seeing her move, their brain's can't process how fast she moved. She jumped up, landing against the cliff about ten feet from the ground Auna started to climb up the cliff.
Pausing only once to look over her shoulder. The height. Oh how wonderful. Auna started to climb again, coming up at a different vantage point then she had not twenty minutes ago.
The smell of a new born came to her nose. A new born? Who did that, she wondered. Oh well, she thought she might just look in. Only for a moment.
Auna walked along the very edge of the cliff, only with her heightened balance could she accomplish such a feat.

Noodles sat in a window of her room. "Bored bored bored bored bored..." She steadily murmured as she stared at sluggish clouds. "I oughta go do something. Duh!" She summoned a gigantic-raw noodle. It was her Big-un. She side-saddled it and pulsed upward to go look for something to mess with.

Ahnet-Sehta poked at the eye of a frog he had discovered hiding in some grass. It let out an annoyed croak and hopped towards covor. "Ah! Come back here you dumb thing!" He yelled, getting upset quickly. He hadn't wanted it so leave yet, and now it had to pay the consequences.
Without really caring, he slammed his boot down on one of it's legs. It made a pained sound, and tried feebly to hop away. But, with the weight of his foot crushing down, it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
"Thought you were going to get away, didn't you?" It wiggles around under his bood and he let out a crazed laugh and picked it up by one of it's front legs.

Jade was very upset. She couldn't find a book to read. She had already read all the ones she had at home and she couldn't find anything intresting at the library. Maybe her friend Jun would have a book. She went to go see her.

Jun sighed, a low wind whistling around her in response. She slammed her small book shut and put it in the bag at her side. She gazed around her, the trees swaying. Suddenly, she noticed something, a small shiny stone. Jun got up and made a bee-line straight for it, not moving her eyes lest something distract her. Jun picked it up. Something was moving in the bush! She turned around, un-sheathing her katana, and made ready to defend herself.

"I haven't seen a new born in several years. And by several I mean a few centuries." Auna breathed. If he was who she thought he was. " A new vampire.... it's been so long." Auna smiled. " Who did it? Who changed you? The council didn't want to upset the population of Montridge by making many more vampires...." Auna muttered, before she looked up at the tall man.
"What's your name?"

"Nice to meet you, Santiago. Really." Auna smiled. She had that giddy feeling you get when you look at a newborn baby, or a newborn anything really.
"I'm Auna, one of the older residents of Montridge." Auna half laughed, one of the orginal residents was more like it.

“Well, I'm The Man Who's Used Up Washed Up Bricked Up Descent Into Maelstrom Bedlam Redrum Bet The Devil My Head Misled Bloodshed Heart Under The Floorboards Beats For Lenore Nevermore” Every man has a story, in which he can live forever. The only problem is who’s story is worth remembering? You can’t remember everything and for some strange reason people seemed to remember the evil in people rather then the good. He certainly remembered his old life better then the one he had now. The cold grey eyes looked up at the cliffs again thinking only for a moment about it before heading off into the village. His boots turning up the dust as he walked by, people glanced at him as if his gaze could kill them...it probably could if he tried hard enough. He laughed at the though of it before glancing down at the ring again. He wasn’t going to break his promise to her, that was the only thing that kept him in check, otherwise the bodies would be hitting he ground at an astonishing rate. His hair blew into his eyes as he tilted his hat backwards watching two children run past him. It was quite a nice place for a rat-hole surrounded by mountains...he shouldn’t be thinking like that anymore. One of the many reasons why they called him “Tin Man”, he was heartless, well in there sense of the word anyway. Of course that was what he had been referred to back home. Of course this was his life now, it a change of scenery had been long over-do

Auna sat back on the ground, closing her eyes for a moment. He really was a new born. If he was still seventeen. Auna rubbed her hair slightly before she stood and also jumped from the cliff. When she landed, she rolled just as she did before.
She stood, straightening her top, she started to walk towards the black rocks that dotted the woods. Auna jumped ten feet into the air and landed on the top of one of the flatter rocks, sitting at the top she started to meditate.
Her mind passed through all of the centuries she had made it through. All those boring centuries. Her mind also focused on her powers, the magical gifts she had received at birth from the Goddess Luna, the goddess that looked over the covens in Montridge.

Darius turned around gazing up at the ridge. It seemed there was quite a commotion going on up there, so he headed into the opposite direction. He wasn’t getting involved with anything. It wasn’t his problem to deal with.. He had just shown up one day and from then on he had just taken up space. He didn’t care though. If the people in this town wanted to sit here and rot for all eternity it wasn’t his problem. He could care less as long as people stayed out of his house and away from him. He headed to the edge of town soon to be swallowed in the forest. The branches intertwined, concealing the sun from view at certain spots. These were the spots he liked, cold and empty, like a coffin.
