"Watch where you point that thing, freak!" a shrill voice cried. Jun sighed but didn't lower her katana. It was just Cindy, the most egotistical brat the boarding school had ever known. (ps-the school doesn't have a name) "What are you doing out here Cindork?" "What does it matter, freak? What are YOU doing out here?" Cindy put her hands on her hips and pinned Jun with a way less than frightening look. "I was reading. Did you know that your roots are showing?" Jun had an annoying (even to herself) habit of changing the subject unexpectedly. "Shut up, freak." Cindy said, pulling out her spear, a deadly weapon in any form. Jun's hands tightened on her katana, sending a light charge of electricity through the bluish metal. Not enough to kill, of course. They stared at each other, seizing their enemy up. Jun was just about to go in for the strike, when a loud, gong sounded through the grounds of the school. Jun sighed and lowered her weapon. Cindy huffed and turned around, flouncing off in the direction of the school. "Turd." Jun muttered after her. Suddenly, her hand felt extremely hot. The rock! She opened her palm, and found that the rock had changed. It was still as shiny as when she had first seen it, but now it was a sort of container. Jun hesitated and looked around her, making sure that no one was around. Then she sheathed her katana and gingerly opened the container.

A small piece of paper fell out of the rock/container thing. Jun unfolded it.
"My friend, you are far from spoiled, Yet you need worry not. For you a city is waiting, Your kind it has not forgot."
On the back was a map with a little "You are here" X on it. It apparently led to a place called Montridge. "Hmmm." A light glinted in Jun's stormy gray eyes. Here was her escape! Her ticket out of this place! She quickly gathered her stuff together and ran for her dormitory. She changed out of her uniform and into her favorite outfit: A zebra-striped 3/4 sleeved shirt and a lime green T-shirt on top. It had a large black ? on the front. Her favorite pair of jeans with a hole in one knee. Her mismatched socks. Her favorite tennies. And her belt with her two throwing daggers on it. jun stopped to admire herself in the mirror. Her dark blue hair pulled into its usual pony-tail and her stormy eyes slightly covered by her bangs. Then she put on her most important item of clothing. A dark gray cloak, hemmed in cloth-of-gold and with her Storm-bringer's clan's emblem embroidered over her right breast. A gold R standing on a cloud and flanked by two lightning bolts. She pulled it on and strapped her katana and its sheath over her back, going from her right shoulder to her left hip. Then she sat down and pulled a piece of paper towards her.
"So long turds, I'm outta here!"
Then she pulled out a silver chain from around her neck. On the end of it, was a ring. It had belonged to her mother, Asagao and was the most important possession she had. It was engraved with the Rosen's emblem, but it was backwards. Now Jun knew why. Jun upturned an ink bottle and pressed the ring into the spill. Then she imprinted her seal onto the paper under her note. Jun grinned and leaned back to admire her handiwork. Then she heard the voices. "She's got to be up here somewhere, the freak." It was Cindy. Jun stood up, a gust of wind blowing around her. "Did you hear that?" it was one of Cindy's toadies. "That must've been her!" The footsteps' pace quickened and Jun ran to the window and through it open just as the door slammed into the wall. "There she is, get her!" Jun threw herself out of the 5th floor window, trusting the wind to carry her safely. She soared over the boarding school that had been her home for so long, with Cindy's shrieks following her. She didn't miss it one bit.

Auna cleared her throat after that wonderful moment of meditation. She slid her hand into her pocket and pulled out the Concealer Amulet. A lovely little piece of jewelry that, when she wore it, would hide her identity as a vampire.
She slid the black opal and amethyst encrusted design around her neck and slid it beneath her black long sleeved shirt. Her skin shimmered for a moment before it turned a deep tan. A hardly audible thump sounded, in the illusion that she had a heart beat, and her features softened to more of an earthly beauty.
Auna never went into town without it on. Vampires were one of the most hated kind in Montridge. Why, Auna would never know, that's just how it is.
Auna sprang from the black rocks a witch, no longer a vampire, and walked to the town, humming a soft melody to herself.
(( I do not know how I have mislead anybody. You. Can. Not. Leave. Montridge. You just can't. It is a deep form of magic that is laced in the air and dirt. No one can come in and no one can leave. Period. Now, if you had your character enter the town a few hundred years ago, that is okay. But as of now, the town is closed, inside and out. That means no internet, no starbucks, none of that. It is just a town. Okay? Did I leave anything unclear?))

Naw, I'll just go on a hike, Jade thought. On herway out of town, Jade got one of her older paperbacks and left. (ooc: ummm, is there a library in Montridge? And Jade is just going to the mountains surrounding Montridge.)

((I saw something somewhere about a girl who regularly left Montridge through the mountains. I don't remember who it was. and am terribly to lazy to read over it all again.
You character must have been born in Montridge if they are under the age of, let's say 200))
Auna walked through the town and then into the Leaky Spatula, the inn and tavern. The inn was sort of useless since nobody was ever new to the town, the inn was more for people who wanted to get out of their own homes for a day or two. Auna took a seat in one of the tables and looked around the wooden cabin with a small smile on her face.
((And you can put the Library anywhere in town. *shrugs* ))

"Mwaaa. The air is boring too, today!" Noodles said, flipping upside-down and soared slowly towards the ground.

Darius sighed ruffling his hair for a moment. He perched himself upon a rock looking out twoards the town from the heart of the forest. He had originally intended to get a little range time in with his gun, but now he didn’t even feel like moving.
Homesickness...maybe but Eden had never really ever felt like a home to him, so the revolver’s remained attached to there holsters, probably never going to see any actual action here anyway. He missed being a Tin-Man, able to do what he wanted and get away with it. Here, he couldn’t even leave this town. To many rules here...he always had that desire to break them.

Auna sat happily, bouncing her heels against the chair tables, a woman walked over to her with a small smile and an apron, " Hello, Auna, what can I get for you today?" She asked. Auna chewed her lip for a moment.
"Can I go back?" Auna asked. The woman looked at her for a moment.
"I guess, I don't see why you would want to, we have already sent someone up the mountain." The woman whispered to her.
"But, I have a feeling the barriers are dying." Auna whispered back. The woman looked at her with a slight glare, but turned and beckoned to Auna. Auna stood and followed the woman. The woman led her back behind the counter and back into the kitchen. There was a door next to the stove that the woman opened. Auna walked through the door and on the other side stepped towards the table in the center of the room.
In the middle of the room was a table, on that table was an exact replica of the mountains surrounding Montridge and Montridge itself, with tiny trees and a miniature lake. There were several stones around the mountains, soft beams of blue light rose from the stones around the model, making a soft blue dome around it.
Auna leaned over and looked around the model, one of the stones was cracked. Auna looked at it surprised. " Lana." Auna called, the woman came in, looking at her with a questioning look, " One of the stones is cracked. It has to be replaced." She whispered.
"Auna....these are the last stones." Lana muttered.
" It has to be replaced, Lana, or it will break, and then the barrier will fall and the humans will find us and kill us like all the other towns!" Auna hissed. Lana held her mouth for a moment.
"But where do you think we can find any more of the stones?" She asked.
"We will have to search the mountains again." Auna said.
((PLOT! well sort of... The search for the black shiny stones! They are about the size of a quarter and round, and really really black, and shiny.))

Auna sighed, turning away from the table, " We will have to send out a search for a stone." She said, the woman looked at her and nodded slowly. "How will we send out a message?" Lana asked her. " Owls? A Mental message?" "Nobody liked it when we sent out the mental message the last time, I will send letters to everyone." Auna said, she went to the other side of the room and looked out over the table, where there was parchment. She waved her hand at it, and a quill started writing, here is what it said,: The Barrier is running out of magic, the safety of this city depends on everyone of our safe town of Montridge. It is up to everyone to look for a Black Opal, and extremely rare stone, it is small and black, it shines in the sun and they are on or near the Mountains. We are in desperate need of the stones. Meet me in the woods near the trail to the top of the mountain just before twilight if you wish to help. Which it is needed desperately. -Luna Coven Auna nodded at her work and waved her hand, watching as she made letter after letter. When they were done she waved her hands over the stack and they folded into paper airplanes themselves, then zoomed out of the door that Lana held open. ((Okay, I guess everyone gets the letter and those that 'want to help' show up at the trail and we shall all hunt for the small stones!))

As Noodles descended a paper airplane flew upwards past her. She halted in midair and followed it until she could grab it. After that, she lowered herself once more and the paper airplane unfolded itself in her hands. She read over it quickly and reread it just to make sure. "Wow! The barrier to the outside! I'm gonna check it out! Yeah, that's right, Noodles. Keep talking to yourself. I will if I want to, why don't you just be quiet? I can't! You leave ME alone!" And this continued for about 10 more minutes.

((Poor Noodlies. Noodles is being very mean to Noodles...))
Auna sighed slowly and made her way towards the randevou point at the start of the path, on the way out of town, Auna with drew the pendant around her next and as she walked she slowly made the transition from human witch back to vampire.

"Fine!" She concluded, "It was JAMES'S fault for the whole thing! I'm going to start off. I'm going to walk this time! Yes! Good idea! Good for your cardio!" And she began to stroll out of town.

Auna sat against a large rock and inspected a small flat circle she held in her palm, it had a little arrow in the middle that spun around, like a compass, but it wasn't a compass. It felt people near her.
It pointed straight ahead of her now. A sad smile rose on her face. At least someone was taking this danger seriously.
