"Well just tell this... Toady, that you were helping us. Even though you weren't. Everyone should have gotten my note anyway..." Auna rambled quietly, keeping her eyes on Darius.

Merrin glanced at the girl with the noodle. "Thanks, but he doesn't really care. We weren't working, so we don't get lodging. He wouldn't give us another chance if there was a loaded gun aimed at his head." Merrin shook his head. "Thanks for your offers though."

Mordair glanced at Auna and Jade. "May we go now? We promise not to bother you again. No joke."

Jun stared at the boys. Their ears drooped, and their tails swayed sadly. They were a depressing sight. "I don't mind if you go." she muttered.

"We aren't keeping you here, are we?" Auna asked. " And if this Toady won't let you work there anymore, go to the Leaky Spatula and tell Lana that Auna said it was okay." Auna said, she felt sympathetic towards the two, because it was their fault they were late, well sort of. They did blow up a cave... oh well, she couldn't take back her offer now anyway.

Darius kept right on staring off at the cave blankly. He speculated that the easiest one to get rid of now would be Auna, but only because she was closest. That and the coward was hiding with her, he would have to lure him out somehow of course but first he had to find thoes stones. After all this world would be very easy to conquer once he had the right conditions espically once that idiot was out of the way.

Merrin grinned and opened his mouth. But before he could say anything, Mordair grabbed his arm. "Maybe we will, maybe we won't. C'mon." His eyes flicked to Jade, then he turned and leaped into the closest tree, then bounded away.

Merrin rolled his eyes. "He's just being stubborn. But he's right, we'll have to think about it. Respectable pubs aren't really our forte." Then he gave a taunting bow, and turned and leaped after his brother.

Jun rolled her eyes. "They're annoying. They didn't even say thanks. And you know, they didn't even tell us their names! How rude!" She turned to the rest of the group. "I say we go back to finding those stones or whatever. I just hope that the next one doesn't make me sick!"

"That one isn't are real Black Opal, you know, because it isn't black." Auna said, ignoring their departure. She had said her peace and they ignored it, mostly. She rubbed her hair and looked down at her feet. She felt different....her power....something. She couldn't really tell what it was that was different, but she just felt....wrong.

Auna shook her head slightly and looked back up at them," We can search on the other side of the mountain."

Noodles frowned at Auna. "Hey, are you okay? You look....dizzy."

Jun glanced at Auna. She did look dizzy. "Is it the pink stone? I felt dizzy when I went near it. Then i felt like I was going to throw up. Do you feel like your going to thow up? Better get the stone away from her..." Jun went rambling on.

Darius smiled, now was the perfect time that he could turn everyone against him.
"It's not the stone, it's a shadow correction it's my shadow. He's hiding somewhere around here most likely planning to take over that person's body once there alone. Of course I don't sense him around here now, but I did before." he added. Hopefully this would turn things in his favor.

Jun stared at Darius. Then she grinned a bit. "A shadow? You're joking right? I'm sorry, but it sounds as though your joking. I mean, a shadow can't move, right?" Jun glanced at everybody else. "Right?"

Darius sighed. " Do I look like the kind of man who jokes to you? Let me answer that, No.
Anyway he's planning on attempting to get back to our dimension once he has full control over my body. And that does mean that he has to destroy the barrier in order to do so." he said looking at Auna. If she went into the shadows then that would mean that his shadow could talk to her privately, and blow his cover.

"He looks like me, talks like me, but he wears all white. He will be armed and dangerous of course." he added fiddling with his jacket.

Auna shook her head," No...I'm not dizzy." Auna muttered, she didn't feel like she was going to throw up. She was busy trying to sense herself and find out what was wrong with her. She was only half listening to what Darius was saying, he was a load of horse crap where ever Auna was concerned.

"How did....your... shadow, come to actually being a being then?" Auna asked, still not finding what was wrong with her.

Darius ran a hand through his hair. "It's a long story, and I would perfer to keep that private." he said looking over to the woods again. Maybe his shadow had left already. Of course he was going to stay with the rest of the group just to be safe.

Auna narrowed her eyes at Darius. What are you planning? She thought rather than said. She thought about it, but looked up at the sky. The sun would rise in a few hours and they would have to wait until the next night to be able to look. Auna let out a sigh.

"Anyway, we need to hurry up and find the stones." Auna said stalking off towards the trees, sending out her pulse, sensing for the stone.
