Oh dear, you seem to have become lost in a rather maze-like building, whatever you were doing in one. But there's a single door down this hallway. Maybe it leads somewhere more... simple. Wait.. there's a note on the door. You should read it first so you don't get in trouble. Greetings, young ones, and welcome to The Room.Only one may enter from each world, so, creators, chose wisely.Information for your chosen ones; The Room contains no lighting of any sorts when The Meeting begins. You must do that for yourselves.
No weapons or other items are allowed in the room, including any offensive type powers. If harm can be done with it, it can not be done in the room. Unless you want to do something about it.
None are allowed to enter or leave the room until The Meeting is over. You must do what needs to be done before it can end.
If I am called for, and needed, I will come.
There are no other rules to follow in The Room. Please choose a being, and put them in the room.
Curious... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Okay, to sum up the above rules.I. No character can know another. They're all complete strangers to each other. You CAN have more than one character now. Just so it's not so boring, and so my examples are easier to.. make. II. Please choose a nickname. It's like a game, you know. The "voice" will tell them their names in their head. It'll be kind of like.. just knowing. III. No outside items besides the clothes on your backs! IV. No powers may be used in the room. They'll basically be 'disabled.' (This would be funny with someone who depends on powers. HA!) V. The room is pitch black until someone finds a light. There may be a lamp, there may be a candle and matches somewhere. You'll just have to find out. VI. Once everyone is in the room, no one can enter or leave the room. All doors are locked, and may even disappear or hide themselves. VII. Any questions should be asked, because this is confusing, and I'm still making it up as I go along. Aye(affirmative note) Bel(unit of power)Chi(greek letter) Die(to cease living/to make a die)Eon(long period of time(aeon))Fie(expressive disapproval) Gun(to shoot with a gun)Hex(to cast an evil spell upon) Ion(electrically charged atom) Jay(corvine bird) Kin(group of related people)Lex(law) Mar(to destroy the perfection of)Nim(to steal) Odd(one that is odd/unusual) or Ohn(unit of electrical resistance) I couldn't choose between them. =3 Pan(to criticize harshly) Qis(vital life-stustaining energy force) Rev(to increase the speed of) Set(to put in a particular position)Tao(path of virtuous conduct according to a Chinese philosophy) Ulu(Eskimo knife) ((Sorry, it was the best sounding one, unless you want Ugh, or Ump. =P)) Vex(to annoy) Heheh. War(to engage in war) No X yet. You(2d person sing. or pl. pronoun) Zap(to kill or destroy) Taken Name - The person you get to beg for it Bel - Phan Die - Nia Eon - Ashiko Gun - Stray Kin - Aura Mar - Phan Set - Gir

Bel
A clicking noise moved down the hallway as he took each step. He was quite tall, and had to duck to avoid hitting his head on the lights, but as he approached the door, and heard someone whisper behind him, he forgot and smacked his head on a bulb, nearly shattering it. "Who is there?" He called, spinning to face the direction he had come from. Shh. Don't be so loud, Bel. You'll frighten the stars away. He snarled, showing his teeth to his invisible pest. "Bel? My name is not Bel, my name is-" No, you are Bel. You were not Bel before, but here, in this place, you are Bel. "Huh," Bel said with a snort, deciding to play along. "Very well then." Yes, very well. Continue down this hallway to find your way out. With a nod, Bel trotted down the empty hallway, the clicking that came with each step echoing faintly. He was eager to get out of this place. It was too strange for even his taste. He rounded a corner, and came face to face with a door. There was a note on it, but he didn't take the time to read it. He just swung the door open, and was slammed with a wall of darkness. The door closed behind him, and everything went silent.
Mar This is ridiculous. He thought, stalking down the hallway. How do I always end up in these weird ass places?
Language. Said a voice in his head. He was used to voices in his head, but this one wasn't familiar.
"Ah, who is this?" He said aloud, stopping and glancing behind him to see if there was anyone around.
Oh, no, no, Mar. You can't ask questions. It teased, You must go where fate calls you.
"Fate stopped calling me a long time ago. And Mar? I have another name?"
For now. You are Mar, and only Mar, and no one else. Will you cooperate?
"Perhaps, but why?" Deciding he'd never see this stranger, he continued down the hall until he came to a door with a note hanging on it. He read it briefly and his frustration rose. "Oh. So I'm to play a game?"
Yessss, yes yes, a game, Mar. You can't leave without participating. Open the door. Open the door, grab the knob and turn and pull. Open it.
And for once in his life, Mar obeyed. The darkness that hit him was something he was used to, but he couldn't see through it. It was different than normal, but he wasn't nervous, at least. He took a seat on the floor, leaning against a wall, and waited.

~EON~
He walked, rather bored, down one of the stone hallways of the castle. He'd been down this hall countless times before, but now he stopped and stared at the random door in the wall. "Where does this lead?" He asked, running a hand through his red hair. He hesitated in opening it, choosing to stare at it instead. With a glance at his watch, he realized he wasn't needed anywhere anytime soon, so he reached out a hand for the handle. Touching the handle, he realized that it was very warm. Of course, he was always cold, but it was still a shocking realization. So shoking, in fact, that he pulled his hand away. Nothing in this castle was ever warm.
'No, no, no, you open the door, don't pull away from it!' A voice echoed in his head.
"What?" He glanced around, trying to find the owner of the voice.
'Open the door, Eon! Open it!' It sounded rather annoyed at his hesitation.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" He demanded, crossing his arms and frowning. He had enough authority as his status was, and over ghosts he had more than enough to command them to do things.
'Oh, I'm no ghost. I can't show myself. Just open the door, Eon.'
"My name isn't Eon." He snapped. He'd gone through quite a few names in the past, but never Eon.
'Well it is now. OPEN THE DOOR ALREADY!'
Eon sighed and reached for the handle again.

(I believe that in a previous post Phan mentioned that we would each speak for the voice as far as our own characters were concerned.
If that's wrong, this post will need to be redone. >>)
The stars and her parting words bade him to rest. The nightly ritual had been, to him, both a welcome escape and a disconcerting dread - but now, with her encouragement, dreams were beginning to seem like an adventure. Stranger still, he found himself for the first time in his life desiring that adventure. Smiling slightly as he rested his head on his pillow, he wondered how his heart had been so changed by a few weeks. Surely he was not the boy he had been before the year had turned. His lids shut, and he prepared to dream - not to sleep, of course. No such thing existed for him.
But even in that initial familiar blackness of the transition between life and dreams, something felt wrong. He felt... himself. The customary change, the flow of energy that cued him to open his eyes into his dream world, was missing. He flexed his hands, eyes still shut. Yes, those were thumbs he felt. He opened his eyes.
Yes, this was definitely wrong. The stone walls in front of him, stretching endlessly with millions of arms reaching off of his current position, were not like anything he had previously encountered in his dreams. And that was odd. He looked down at himself and confirmed it: he was himself. But he could not be awake, for he held perfect memory of his lying down to sleep - and further, this alien location did not seem like anything he might encounter in his life. And then, too, was the feeling of power. It was subtle, yes - as if locked away. But it was there, its thrum as familiar as the beat of his own heart.
This comforted him some, as did the fact that he was accustomed to the unusual. He would explore this strange dream - and if nothing else, he would have a wonderful story to tell Kari later. Perhaps she could help him figure out what it might mean. For the moment, however, he was more preoccupied by the clicking noise that was echoing through the halls. Since he seemed to be utterly lost, it was probably a good idea to try and find someone else.
He began walking down a corridor that he thought might lead towards the noise - though with so many halls, it was hard to tell - but stopped when he heard a voice. It didn't echo - it wasn't external, then.
"Kin, are you sure that's a good idea? You don't know this place - you don't know these people. You can't trust yourself under these circumstances, and you certainly can't trust others. They would betray, given any incentive and any chance. Everyone walks alone, and more so here."
The title of 'Kin' seemed a familiar one as soon as it was addressed to him, though he had never worn a similar name. For some reason, he felt no need or desire to question the unknown voice that instructed him. After all, he could not easily deny its claims. "But I cannot find my way here alone. There is nothing to do but to trust."
"I hope you will not regret that, though I am sure you shall. But if you will not be mindful of my first advice, at least accept this second piece I offer. Either way it would be good for you to proceed along this path. The room lies ahead, and that is where you should go. You might feel less lost. Or perhaps more."
Kin felt that the voice would say no more now - somehow he could sense its absence. Once again he wished for the presence of Kari, for she might have been able to untangle its words. Certainly, she wouldn't have taken kindly to the alien voice. But all he could do was listen, and continue walking down the path he had begun walking in the first place.
(I ramble too much when I haven't roleplayed in a while. Anyway, I'll introduce Nim later; I'm too lazy to do so now.)

((Likewise! And I wanna do another character! *thinks of another character to add in...* since they all seem to be guys... )) ((I've got my second charrie! : D Vex will be it! ^^)) ((dibs on vex that is...)) .:Die:. He was trudging through the hallways, and the echo was really bothering him as he took each step; it made it seem like he was walking an endless trail. 'How the hell did I get in here?' he asked himself, running a hand through his extremely dull blond hair. The young man sighed and kept on walking, still with a slight limp from the accident. One foot followed the other, and he was extremely confused. The echo continued to bother him as he walked, and he stopped, irritated because it felt like he was going nowhere. "What is wrong with this place?! It must be either some sick joke or a damned dream..." the young man muttered, and then he heard it. The hairs on the back of his neck bristled and raised as a low voice spoke to him. 'A dream, you say? Young Die, you are mistaken. This place...it is much more than a dream!' it whispered, making the man shiver. " Die? Who are you talking to? That's not my name..." 'Oh, but yes it is, Die! Die is your name as of now. Now, go on forth, you shall soon find the end.'The man couldn't help but to laugh at the unintended pun. His name was /Die/ now and he would soon find the /end/...But he still couldn't help but to wonder about what was really going on... "And what is this end you speak of?" 'Why, a room, of course, Die. And in this room...just follow this hallway. Continue forth, Die. Continue...' it murmmured, and it dissapeared. "What?! Hey!" Die shouted, looking around, but not looking back for fear he might forget what direction he was going in. With a sigh, he looked ahead, and walked forth, slightly dragging his right foot behind him with each step. 'Here we go, then...'((I'll post Vex later! : D (once I see if my post is ok...>.<)))

Set
Her footsteps slowed as she looked around the new hallway she found herself in. 'I know the ship is extensive, but I know I've never set foot in this passage before.' She thought. She closed her eyes and imagined the company she knew so well. They were faint and far off. 'I am indisputably not on the ship any longer... But where?' She turned back to see if she could return and there was a wall behind her. 'I see.' She thought and forged ahead. She thought it was eerily silent as she walked down the hall without a sound. She cast her thoughts out for another being, but found none. After a few more endless minutes of silence through twisting corridors, a jarring voice called. 'There you are!' She froze, heart pounding. 'Is that you Hyacinth? Don't do that!' 'No. No Hyacinths here. But there is a Set. 'Are you Set?' She asked. 'You are! Set is you and you are Set.' She assumed it was a ghost trying to see her as an old friend. 'Very well. Do you know where we are?' 'Close! Just a bit more! You know what to do!' Set felt the voice depart and found that she had already started walking. She welcomed the silence once more and continued on, noting that the hallway had stopped branching and was getting much less expansive.

(( One - The clicking is because of Bel's feet. =3 Two - You're all doing fine. Just get everyone in to the room and we're good.))

~EON~
Eon grabbed the door's handle, ignoring the warmth emanating from it for now. He pulled it open, only to find a dark room. He walked through, taking careful steps and waiting until his eyes adjusted.
Suddenly the door slammed shut behind him and he swung around, reaching for the handle, but finding none. 'Welcome, Eon! It's about time you got in here!' The voice called in his head, then faded away.
"What the hell?" he snapped angrily, feeling along the wall for something, anything. His eyes weren't adjusting to the darkness, so he just picked a section of the wall and leant against it, sliding down to the floor. Experimentally, he held out his hand, expecting his scepter to come to him, to somehow light this place. It didn't and he frowned, putting his hand back down. It was lucky he was pretty comfortable in the darkness... this sort of silence, he could probably take a nap if he wanted to.

Set
As the hallway turned once more, it led to a plain doorway. Set looked around for an alternative way before approaching the door.
Oh good! You found it. Just remember, you are Set. Don't let your guard down!
She remained silent as she opened the door and briskly stepped inside. Her silhouette shone briefly before the door closed. Immediately, Set felt as though she had lost her senses. She fell back against a wall (for the door had disappeared) and reached for her pouches at her belt. Gone. But she was relieved to find that she heard the rustle and feel of the cloth on her hand.
She knew it was dark and from the air, she could tell it was indoors. Her sight was of no problem to her. What she really feared was the loss of the immediate connection that she had with other people. She felt completely lost in the darkness and slumped to the floor. She sat there, trying to regain the feel of her gift.

.:Die:. 'You must hurry...' the voice returned. "I'm done playing your fu-" Die began, but he stopped as he came to a door. He paused and looked at it, blinking. "A...door..." he silently whispered to himself, and from instinct he reached for the knob, and turned it, pushing it forward, and he stepped into a dark room... "What-?" he said, turning around to get back out, but the door shut. 'And now...watch yourself, Die...remember...' the voice said, fading once again. ~-~-~ ~^Vex^~ "Laa dee laa dee daa!!! I've never been in this part of the lab! I wonder when Daddy added this part...it's just so... /weird/!!!" a woman in her mid 20s exclaimed, prancing down the strange maze-like corridor. She wasn't scared at the least, but she was rather excited, wondering where this would lead her. 'You seem quite excited, Vex,' a voice echoed in her head. "Huh?! Who's there!!!! Ahhh!!!! It's not a /perv/ is it?! Eeep!! Oh well, no biggy. I can fight you off!!!" the woman shouted, putting her fists out, ready to fight whomever the voice was. 'Hush, Vex. Continue forth...do not make too much noise, Vex! Hush, hush. We wish not to scare the shadows...'"Oh yes...shadows. Wait, my name's not Vex!!!" 'I know not what you speak of, Vex. You are Vex and shall always be Vex,' the voice insisted. "Oh, ok then!" Vex smiled, walking forth, stopping at a door. "What's the door for? Daddy doesn't put random doors anywhere..." 'Go forth...' and the voice began to fade. "Ha! This is gonna be fun!!! Well, in I go!" she shouted, opening the door and stepping inside into the darkness beyond. She stood there, and stared, wondering where she was. "This isn't Dad's laboratory...is it..." 'No, Vex...it is not...' and it dissapeared.

(Sorry for my slowness... I just got back from JCL convention. o.o I'll reply to this tomorrow or Tuesday.
The main reason for this useless post is to say that I'm ditching Nim. I've decided that I only want one character in this after all, so only Kin will be mine.)

~EON~
Eon started when he heard someone talking. He sat up and looked around. 'I fell asleep?' He thought, 'Weird.' He yawned and stretched in the darkness, still not able to see anything.
"Hello?" He called. It wasn't that he really minded the silence, he just wanted to know who else was in here with him.

((Hope I did this right...)) ~-Tao-~ "I've never seen this part of the library before," the girl commented, "And the walls are different." Indeed, the walls had changed from the light, stained wood of the library, but few would notice unless they had spent a lot of time at the library. At the end of the hall, she noticed a note on one of the doors. There you are, Tao, a voice said, after she had read the note. "Tao? I'm not Tao; I'm-" For now, you are Tao."Tao? A Chinese philosophy, translating loosely to the way or the path. Identified by, generally, just going with the flow. However, really, Tao cannot be described; once you describe it, 'it' is no longer Tao," she recited. Very good, now go ahead.'"Okay," Tao said, going through the door.

The small voice was a glimmer of hope until she realized she had heard it. It seemed from far off and as she strained to hear it again, there was a loud call that seemed closer. She jumped and stood up. "Hello?" she called back hesitantly.

Eon sat back, smiling slightly. He was glad there was someone else here. He finally hadn't cracked, at least. Years of dealing with souls could do that to someone. "Who're you?" He called.
