I feel like we need some things people can jump right into to start building the site back up. The games are a good start, but how about a little roleplay? And since Tychras started out with dragons, it seems appropriate that its new start should begin that way as well.
Dragons are not usually known for being social creatures, but in certain situations they may live in colonies. One of these rare groups centered their territory around the volcano Elion. An eruption many eons ago had resulted in exceptionally fertile land, capable of supporting the large number of dragons who came to live in the land. But being a generally territorial species, a few families quickly came to seize dominance over the others: these made their homes inside the volcano, and justified their superiority by its power as well as their own. Over the years, this self-proclaimed "noble" class of the colony sought to separate themselves further and further: they rarely emerged from the volcano, assigning the "lesser" dragons to bring them tribute. With each generation their pride grew, but their strength was often less than the conquering dragons whose place they inherited. Still, with the volcano as their guardian, few from the lower dragons would think of rebellion. And the land provided enough for every dragon to have a sufficient life, so there was no need for extra strife.
So things might have continued in this way, had the volcano not interfered itself. There was no time to prepare before the sudden eruption. Many of the nobles, finding themselves right in the path of the eruption, were slain or injured. Some of the other dragons also found themselves victims to the volcano's rage. And most damaging of all, what had once been a green paradise was almost overnight transformed into a rocky wasteland. Pools of lava, not yet cooled, lay scattered and threatened any dragon. Ash flew through the sky, shrouding the sun and blinding any unlucky enough to get caught in a sudden black wind. Suddenly an unnaturally large population of dragons was sharing a small territory with extremely scarce prey. And as for the remaining nobles, they found that for many of the dragons, their loyalty lasted only as long as it had to. With everyone struggling to keep themselves alive, they were not so eager to support an archaic class of dragons who had done nothing for them.
And that's the best I can come up with on the spur of the moment. ^^; I hope it makes for a good enough launching point. Anyone can jump right in; character sheets are not required.

ooc: yay!!! that makes me happy! I shall post away!!! bic: From where she was gliding, she could hear the lava pool's bubbles bursting, the lava flowing and some of the remaining dragons who had been trapped screaming. It was a terrible sight, especially considering that it had once been a fertile and beautiful place. It saddened the blood red dragon. She flew up high and stared at the dismay, finding that she hadn't eaten in days and much that much of the place she used to call home was now destroyed. She was hurt. This dragon could remember the days before the volcano erputed, and she could not believe that it had become into this...this huge pool of death. It seemed like a dream to her, she couldn't believe it, there was absolutely no way that this place was the beautiful green world she lived in, but when she flew in closer and felt the intense heat, she knew she had to believe it. This place could no longer be the home she once knew. Tansari flapped her wings a few times and flew up higher, and then let out a loud and echoing roar, hoping to recieve a few calls in return. She didn't want to be the only dragon she knew of living, she had to find others of her kind, or else she might plunge into the unforgiving lava to join the family it had swallowed. She was growing tired, and she had to find some land to stop at, but she had to see if there were others that were in the same situation as her first. ooc: there we gos ^^; heh...gosh it seems so short D:

Fear dulled his senses, instinct was his guide. His vision narrowed, black everywhere around but the single patch of light - and soon even that was dusted over with the foul smoke. His look suited a weak creature of prey more than a so-called mighty dragon; his eyes showed wildness and confusion, his wings beat frantically, scrapping across the rocks as he squirmed his way out of the side of the vengeful mountain.
The cool air rushed across his body as he tumbled at full speed through the open sky. Fear and instinct released their hold, and the young dragon slowed as he regained control of himself. His small white claws kneaded the air shakily. Where was the land he had known? He had emerged from one nightmare to another; below him the green had been consumed by red and black, burning lava and shard-like rock. He hovered, hesitant, and suddenly became swiftly aware of a growing pain in his thigh. He craned his neck back, and immediately let out an involuntary cry.
His brilliant blue scales were streaked with darkness, burns and soot seeming to reach across his body as if to capture him completely. Small flaps of skin hung loose from his wings, torn by the sharp stones. And at his thigh, a blast of extreme heat had managed to melt some of his scales together; now with shock no longer veiling his senses, they seared into his side with a fierce throbbing pain.
A roar snapped Hyuri out of his dismay. Yes, of course others would have survived! Many would not have had the jaws of the volcano closed around them, as he had. He turned towards the source of the sound immediately, ignoring the sting of the suddenly chilling wind over his greatly worn wings.
He almost thought he was flying directly towards a falling spurt of lava before he recognized the red shape as a dragon. Both instinctively and out of a sudden understanding of his own desperation, he puffed himself up as much as he could, spreading his mummy-like wings wide and snapping his scorched tail behind him.

Jealos' scanned the glowing terrain with pools of molten earth reflecting as violet flecks in his dark eyes. The dragon could see half-gone and burning corpses below him on the hot ground, but he was only searching for one familiar shape. He ignored the dead and dying, flying above them without bothering to see if their wounds were fatal or if they would live and needed help, because none of them would be Jaelus. His sister was too stubborn and strong to fall victim to any volcano, but doubts were stirring in the deepest corners of his mind. If his sister was gone, he felt he would always be alone until the day he closed his eyes forever.
He glided past a massive black cloud of dust, nearly disappearing with his dark scales providing almost perfect camouflage. Few scales on his face, legs, and tail glinted with purple, and the oddly dark membranes of his wings shimmered violet from the dim light. He flew as straight as he possibly could once inside the dust cloud, flapping his wings only a few times, enjoying the smell of the ash before shooting from the other side of the mass. A thick trail of gray fell away from him as he flew into cleaner air, and he let out a heavy sigh of frustration.
Jealos instinctively angled himself to turn towards the sound of a female dragon calling, but he knew it wasn't his sister. He hadn't seen any trace of her since the eruption forced them apart. It was too difficult to keep track of each other while avoiding the lava and fire that was engulfing their home. The last time he had seen her, she was flying ahead of him, so she must have gotten away. There's no way she fell, He kept saying to himself.
((I haven't played a dragon in a long time. Jaelus and Jealos are practically glued to each other most of the time.))

ooc: yay! bic:
After a few moments of waiting, Tansari was sure that she might be alone, but when one dragon and then another arrived, her hopes were raised quite a bit, but the hurt of having lost her home and her family still stung her heart.
The red dragon flapped her wings, and turned to face the two dragons, and she opened her great muzzel as if she was smiling. "So I am not alone...It is great to see two others!!" she exclaimed, realizing she was far more tired than she had originally thought. "We should move elsewhere...I am sure we are all tired...I do not think I can last flying any longer..." she said. Outrunning the volcanoe's fury proved to be a hardship, and to stay flying above the lava was really draining her.
Not too far off was another dragon ((I kinda want two...a male and a female...)), the color of a pearly white so it would be extremely easy to spot him. He was flying in circles, crying out and roaring. This dragon was greiving--rather loudly--after having witnessed the death of his entire family.
This dragon had originally ignored the sound of the other dragon calling, but once he figured that his efforts of cooling the lava was futile, and that it would be worthless to believe that this wasn't real, he let out a deep, sorrowful cry and flew towards the source of the cry.
Like his strange coloring, this dragon, too, was strange. He had long limbs and his wings were something of looking detatched. On his horns sprouted two long and flowing antennea and on the tip of his tail was a tuft of silver fur. He was covered in scales save for the silver mane that ran down his back, instead of the usual spines.
Seeing this dragon apporach, Tansari smiled again and nodded. "Shall we go?" she asked, looking at the three dragons.

Hyuri's silence, brought on by his astonishment at the female's forwardness, did not last long. He had been raised to be in command, and his entire life he had lived surrounded by subservient beings. A few facts popped into his mind quickly: he was not a particularly large dragon, nor a mighty one. Though the scarred form he bore at the moment might be intimidating, it was more likely it would show weakness. With the volcano turned into a mouth of chaos, he could not even fall back on that symbol - even less so if they left the territory. But most of all, he knew he could not show weakness in his will. He could not allow himself to be in the subservient position, or he would not be able to cling to that last strong form in his life.
That made this female and her plan a threat.
"We should not flee into the unknown so quickly," he butted in swiftly, undeservingly proud that he managed to keep the pain out of his voice. "This is our land. I would not expect a dragon to be so eager to cede territory without struggle." He glanced around, exaggerating his movements. Presentation and confidence was everything. "There are safe places to land, and I see some green yet hiding beneath the rocks." Or was it an illusion? "We can regroup, rebuild, reestablish the old forms."
He cursed himself mentally. Had those last words held that unmistakable ring of desperation? This pain was making it hard to focus.
(Oh Hyuri, you silly aristocrat. ^^ You're fun to ridicule~)

((yes! XD I was hoping for an dragon like that...had no idea that was what Hyuri was from your first post but I happy...I woulda failed if I tried to make a character like that...)) 'What the heck is this dragon thinking?' was the first thing that had come to Tansari's mind upon hearing the younger dragon. "I do not know what you mean by that. How can any living creature live in these lands any longer?! That is an illogical way of-" she began before she was cut off-almost literally-by the strange pearly white dragon, who had flown in front of her very quickly. "To think any living being, any SANE living being could survive and 'reestablish' a place such as this is not even /close/ to being a smart way to think. Even if we had or if we could reestablish the old forms, what would be the point? This eruption means something. The fact that it was the /volcanoe/ which had erupted, which had housed the nobles, means even more! Do you not believe that the being of Nature itself is pleading us or making us change? This place is nothing but a waste-land, now, it might have once held and protected and housed our families...but it is no longer. We must move on!" he said, his voice echoing-strangely-through the barren-in a way-land. His wings flapped slowly and he gazed at Hyuri with a stern, hard look. Tansari was simply left confused by all this.

Releaved by the sound of the voices above him, Broken Tusk slithered in closer. His long snake like body weaved between the jagged rocks and pools of lava, his green body in contrast to the newly formed island. Broken Tusk launched himself from the ashes and with one powerful stroke of his masive wings, joined the little group in the sky. "So there are some left," his deep voice boomed over the silence,"Though by your looks you are near dead." Broken Tusk lacked horns, spines and legs but he was old and experienced in hunting and fighting. He appeared un-injured but by the look in his yellow eyes he had lost everything as well. "There is no place for the living here and it will take eons for life to return to this place." He said turning to the young nobal, "but first some of you need food."
((This rp is just in time for my new and random dragon character Broken Tusk. I have a picture of him i will post eventualy))
