Well... I would go ahead and start, but so far I have just been writing during my free time in science class... so my story is at school. Anyway, I just started the second chapter, so I will try to get the first one up soon. To give you a hint to what it's about, I sort of got the idea from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but mainly from the Contested Quest board.

Now you dont have to! ^^ I brought the story home today so I can type up chapter one. It probably wont be that good though, because it needs editing. It will only be the 1 1/2 draft... xD 1 1/2 thats new. But anyway, here it is! Chapter 1 This was it. The rush of the wind over the stadium ceased, and the long-awaited loudspeaker finally came on. "Alright, although there 14 of you today, only ten will be left to go on to the finals. The competitions will begin in five minutes." The competitors broke off and said their last goodbyes. What they didnt know was that it may really be their last. Although none of them knew it four of them would die that day, and possibly more in the near future. With only one minute left, the loudspeaker once again boomed around the stadium. "One minute left. Please report to your teams." The last competitor broke off from the crowd, and somewhat regretfully joined her teammates. "This is it." she whispered to herself. She was a wiry girl, around five feet, four inches tall. Her black hair glistened like a dark halo around her head and neck, ending right at the tips of her shoulders. Although the stadium was in twilight, her crystal aqua eyes seemed like little lanturns, and her small mouth curved into a frown as she looked back at her friends and family who were taking their seats. She had waited her whole life for this moment, although now she wasnt all that sure that she was ready for it. After what had seemed like forever the loudspeaker came on and broke the tension of the competitors. "Now, let the games begin!" Although fireworks exploded in the air and the stadium was filled with cheers, some of the competitors felt a bit dizzy. "You alright Blair?" A voice whispered. "Fine... Yeah, just fine." Blair murmured in response, not nearly as good as she claimed to be. After everyone was seated, the coach explained what the teams would be doing. At the end of the day there would be two people eliminated from each team. The competitors looked at one another trying to guess who it would be, but there werent any murmurs in the small crowd until the coach explained exactly how they would be eliminated. "These will be life or death competitions, so do not take them lightly. Two people today will leave us forever. I hope you now see the importance of your training." The coach explained to the horror of the team. No one had been prepared for this, and yet it was only the begining. The coach then went on to say, "You will be paired up with people of your own team during the competitions; each team will be split into two teams. Yes, I know there will be one extra person. The person who is chosen last when teams are picked will have to go twice. There will the two competitions, and at the end of them the four people in last place will be partnered up and they will duel to the death with any weapon of their choice." There was a pause, and with it came more murmurs and blank stares as if no one on the team could comprehend what had just been said. "The first competition," the coach continued, "will be a small maze. There will be no obsticales, it is merely to test your mind power and speed." ((Sorry got to go I'll add more later))
