Trying to get more of these tiny thoughts out of my head. ^_^ When I can, I'll try to write things here, but realize that many things wont be finished and some wont even start from the finish. Some may continue on later pages, and some may never have an ending. ---------------------- Killing previous work yet again. *sigh* I'm hopeless. =P ~~~~~~~ Pronunciation Guide Since Phan does things weird.

One step down the road. Ten steps farther from Home.
"Daviidos": The Beneath
"Daviidos." A simple man, dressed in simple clothes, was thrown forcefully to the floor in front of Him. His messy brown hair fell in his eyes when he looked up into those black orbs. "You have been charged with murder, and have thus been sent down to my home. I do hope you don't mind your... humble surroundings." The man stepped down from His higher place and bent down over the accused. The two bleeding stubs on his back, where once there were wings, bulged and moved just slightly, but the man on his knees on the stone could see. "You killed your enemy's child out of a simple need for revenge." "I did nothing wrong!" The man interrupted Him, and was punished for it. The two holding chains that had been placed on his wrists snapped into action and pulled. A sickening crunch echoed through the smoky chamber as the stress dislocated one of the man's shoulders. To the demons' surprise, he did not call out, but winced, and continued facing Him. "Daviidos, I'm offering you free time, and yet you still feel you must prove yourself? I find that saddening." The man shook his head. "Why are they calling me Daviidos. I am Cavi. You have the wrong man." He went on without hesitation, ignoring "Daviidos." "Your neighbor, Gavden, father of the girl you murdered, has made me an offer. He says you will work for me till the end of days, acting tasks for me, but only if he bests you." Cavi was released from his chains, and got to his feet. There was a soft creaking and the man that had lived beside him as a neighbor in life was led in by another of the dark-skinned figures. "So it is to the death?" Cavi asked, returning his gaze to Him and his dark eyes which soon hardened. "The death? But you are already dead. After discovering your murderous deeds, your neighbor killed you, then took his own life to be with his daughter, who is not here in this dark fiery place. No, this fight will be to the birth. Whom ever wins this fight, will gain one more life." "The deal was-" Gavden sprang forward but He waved him away. "I know. Your daughter will also be retrieved. Now..." There was a clinking, and many things appeared around the room. There were daggers, scythes, plates covered in needles, and just about anything else you could use as a weapon. "Choose your weapons wisely." Cavi glanced around the room at all the metals glittering in the fires light. Most of these weapons looked more like torture devices then anything else, and some of them just looked useless. There was a goblet sitting up on one of the rocks, but Cavi ignored that and scanned the ledges farther off. Gavden had already snatched both the scythe and a stunning silver short sword from the wall. Everyone in the room except the one that expected to keep the weapons he fought with upon winning, noticed the small smirk that graced Him. Cavi heard the singing of metal on stone, and then of a blade slicing through the air, and he ducked just in time to avoid a clean beheading. The idea of living again with his daughter turned Gavden into a madman. He swung his weapons blindly, trying with all his might to shred his once trusted friend. Cavi was left with little time to think, dodging the scythe, and he wasn't long to notice that Gavden payed little attention to the short sword, keeping it tucked away in his belt. "Gavden! Please, there's no need to do this. You know who He is, and He's only trying to trick you into selling both our souls off." His voice went silent with a loud crunch. A part of one of the walls had fallen in, and now lay dangling by a chain, inches from the unconscious Cavi's face. "Ah, now, now, let's not be too hasty." A vice-like hand shot out and pulled Gavden away before he could drag his neighbor out from under the stone slab and gut him. "Give him a chance. We don't want to be unfair." Gavden rounded on Him, snarling. "He never gave my little girl a chance! He never- Agh!" He clutched at his bleeding wrist. Dark eyes flashed as He rounded on the two, muttering darkly, "You never speak to me like that." Before Gavden could turn around, Cavi was slinking away, toward that one item he had seen on the wall. He scrabbled up the rocks and snatched the locket from its perch. A locket. The key to his life, and the life of his son. Both could be restored to normal with a simple locket. A locket? Gavden let out a furious scream and charged at Cavi. "You dare to touch her- Oomm.." His body fell to the stone with a thud, and the blood oozed down through the cracks into the dark. "Silvna" Gavden rasped, his body shuddering with his last breath that he gave to his daughter. Only Cavi seemed to be caught in wonder as Gavden's body followed his blood down the cracks in the stone floor. The others simply lowered there heads as He stood up, stepping right over the place where Gavden's body had been just moments before. "Congratulations. You have earned your life back, and," He gestured toward one of the demons guarding a smaller door. The hinges creaked as it was opened, shedding light were there had been none for years, and Crisca stood there smiling. It only took Cavi a moment to grab his son and embrace him. "Your son." "But how does that work out? Crisca was never mentioned." Cavi was nervous about even wondering, fearing He would take his son away once again. But He simply sneered and shook his head. "You're foolish." He pointed a clawed finger at where Gavden was, chained to the wall with a little dark-haired girl. "His side of the deal included him and his daughter, so the other side must be equal as well. I get him and the girl, you and your son go free." "But you only mentioned his daughter being set free if they won. You never said she would be stuck down here upon his losing." Crisca shied away from the demons rustling in the dark, but Cavi wrapped an arm around his shoulder as he spoke. "Why punish her." "Her father is punished by her suffering." He seemed more cheerful as He went on explaining, "Since her father included her in one part of the deal, she was included in the other even though it was not mentioned. When you make a deal in these lands, even the higher up, both sides must be equal. You must be willing to lose what you want to gain." Cavi shook his head. This was crazy. If he'd had known that the girl would be stuck down here, he wouldn't have ever bothered fighting against Gavden. But then again, if he had lost, he would have only cursed Crisca to this hell. "And I wanted what was rightfully mine." He approached the girl and ran a hand through her hair. "She would have ended up visiting me later anyways. Such a great thief she would have made, had you not killed her of course." Crisca glared at Him with a surprising amount of courage. "Why?" Cavi never would have understood what his son had noticed if He hadn't gone into an explanation. "I knew how this would turn out. Going against the Daviidos, so says fate, he had no chance. Yet it had to be done. "But why have us fight, why make the deal with him when you know he'll lose? Wouldn't you rather have my soul, especially since I'm supposed to be so important now?" "Silence." His voice was soft and cool, but no one would have been able to brave disobeying Him. "Why waste your time here, Daviidos, worrying about some lowly peasant? You have better places to be, bigger things to be doing." There was a rush, and so much fire and heat that Cavi couldn't tell where he was, but he could tell Crisca was still pressed against him. Things went dark again, and there was the smell and sound of the sea... A light, and a faint breeze brought a calm feeling to them. "Oi, Berrend, git yoreself over here and gimme a hand!" Crisca took a step forward, listening to the voices that were coming from the light. "I think we're in a cave." He whispered. "By the Western Sea of Shidellia." The kingdom of Shidellia, wrought with tragedy and legends.
The murder of the rose shall begin this chain of terrible events... Thus will come the slaughter of children out of a fear... Diseases will be brought by the invaders, and chaos will take over. I have seen this happening for myself, and I'm hoping to save any who find my writings. I do find this disturbing, and I will tell you one thing; The events that follow these horrible times will be so, that they will show you things about your fellows that none could have guessed. You will find people doing unexpected things. I do have one word of advice for you, reader. Find the one called Daviidos, and stick by his side if you wish to avoid this chaos.
Cavi knew quite a bit about the discovery of these strange writings in a shipwreck. They had added a bit to the old prophecy. No one knew the exact words anymore, but it was always told as so,
The coming of the one that's been to hell and back shall send a tremor through the winds and cause the skies to crack.
There was, of course, so much more information behind the prophecy, but most of it has been lost over the years through the countless re-tellings. But having been taught about the prophecy by a scholar that settled in his village, Cavi knew that death would follow him closely. His eyes swept lovingly over his son’s face while he gazed out of the mouth of the cave at the pirate ship just off the shore.

The Fate We Made Ave, near silent, yet stunning. Elu, so kind and soft-hearted. Iha, at times considered rude, our tomboy, but forever dreaming of sunlight. Ona, proper and mature beyond her years. And Uri, strong and wild, and oh so demanding. They were all innocent enough, and we began to relax, believing that although the doom-bringer was among them, she would never show her face. "You've been kind to me, Benjamin." She said to me. "So kind that I will not hurt you, but you must stay out of my way, or I'll have to kill you, just like him." The young girl pointed at a body laying face down against a wall. It was once a very intelligent man, but his brain was full of bullets. They had no use for bullets. They had enough power- I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. The end of my world started fifteen years before that incident. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^Rewriting, cause I've thought about it lately and have a better idea^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
