Heyheyhey!!! I finally wrote something! Writing I write to live, I live to write When I get going, I write all night.
What to write about, what to choose? As long as I write something, there's no way to lose.
Perhaps a little limmerick, short and light-hearted. Sure, I'll go with that, come on lets get started.
maybe a haiku, five, seven and five again These are quite fun too. ^^
or something more serious, something with a plot A short story maybe, sorry, that's all I've got.
This poems was a verse short, so i added this one I hope you liked it and now i'm done ^^ *bows*

My Spot
Have you ever noticed how some people have spots? Not like leopard spots or the spots of burnt on pie filling that you can't seem to get off the bottom of the oven, but places where people just feel at home. And even when they're not in that spot, it's like there's a little bit of them still there, waiting for the rest to return.
Like that girl who's got straight A's and always has her nose in a book, who barely ever talks to anyone; her spot is that table in the corner of the library where the lighting is just dim enough thatyou don't really notice her, but there's just enough light to read by. Or you know that guy that might have some trouble with his grades, but it's almost impossible to strike him out? His spot is in the middle of the baseball field, right on top of the pitcher's mound, practicing. My spot isn't as obvious. It's way over on that hill people drive by every day without noticing. You know the one, with all the oak trees and the old water tower on top. It's rather unassuming, the paint on the tower is old and peeling and the trees look a bit sinister. That's my spot.
But the trees aren't really scary, walking through them at night, I can see the occasional star through the leaves and I like to imagine I can feel the earth's energy below me. And the water tower, it might be old but, in the mornings and evenings just before sunrise or sunset, I climb it and watch the sun cross the horizon. I walk home, then, and resume my daily life, looking forward to my next visit. I really do love it up there. I feel at peace, like all is right in the (my) world, and I forget all my problems. It's nice, with the trees and the height of the tower, I can't hear the traffic and I can't see it either. It's like my own little world.
I share though. If I were to find someone special, that I can really trust, I might show them my spot. And maybe, they'll let me visit their spot. Maybe that someone is you. If it is, we can take my spot and your spot and make them both our spot. |
Hope you like it. ^^ 10:00 pm 09-19-09
