"And who are you?!" Ola barked to the girl who just walked in. "Class started ten minutes ago." He chided. He looked around quickly. "You will be in group one. Matilda is your partner." He said, wanting no further explanation or anything that would further delay class.

Mat glared at the back of Ola's head, willing it to explode, but it sadly, did not happen. She looked over at the new girl, blinking at her to get her attention, she didn't want to speak because she did not want to get yelled at, and she also didn't moved a muscle to show who she was. If the girl couldn't tell that Mat was the one he was talking about, well poor her. Because she wasn't saying.

Tiphanie rolled her eyes, crossing the gym to Zumi's side. "Hello, I'm Tiphanie the teacher's assistant, I take it you are a new kid. Matilda is the one standing by herself. Come with me right now and we'll get you some gloves to get this class started." She said in a friendly tone, with a bright smile.

Sparky glanced around at the new girl. Judging from what he'd seen of the teacher so far, and what he'd seen of Mat, he felt extremely sorry for her. Vaguely, he wondered what her ability was, but decided not to ask, so as not to get into trouble.

Zumi began to answer his first question but was cut off by him continuing. "Yessir." She mumbled and looked for Matilda. 'That's a nice name,' She thought before Tiphanie came to help.
She listened and smiled a little. "Thank you" She whispered gratefully and trotted to Mat.
"Hi. Umm. My name's Zumi." She shone a smile at her and stopped at the look she got.

Mat's eyebrows pulled down and together as she looked at the girl. "Mat." She said darkly, her hands not moving from their crossed positions.

"Face your partner." Ola ordered, looking around to see that everyone obeyed before he continued. "Today we will be working on stances, first we will work with the right foot. And then for all of those 'wrong footed' people, we will switch to the left foot." He said, glaring at Kida for a moment before he went back to pacing around the room. "Put your left foot forward, angle your body so it is facing the person across from you and then put your other foot directly behind the other foot, your shoulder's length apart."

Desra watched Ola demonstrate, and did as he told facing Apollo. She wondered how long it would be until they started learning how to fight. Of course, she already knew. But most people didnt. Atleast, she assumed the didnt. Maybe they did, she didnt know. She didnt particularly care either, unless she had to fight them. Then she would definatly want to know how good they were. She looked back over at Apollo, waiting for him to get into the stance, and wondering what they would do next.

'Well, that is very...nice...I have no partner...I should sneak over and pick on Talon...' Taikato thought, looking at Talon, who had no partner either, so he quickly and very silently moved to the other side and punched talon on the shoulder. "Your stuck with me" He whispered.

"So nobody liked you, eh?" Talon replied, doing as the teacher told, facing Taikato.

"Yep" also doing as the teacher told.

Sparky leaped into the stance, happy about finally being able to do something. He faced Kida and grinned.

Kida grinned slightly at Ola when he mentioned the wrong-footed people. She couldn't help but be left-handed. That's just how things were. But she obliged and got into the strange looking stance, still smiling as she faced Sparky. She raised her hands with her elbows protecting her sides and pretended to punch him in the shoulder. She giggled slightly.

Mat glowered as she stood in the stance, her arms protecting her sides with her back bent forward. She rolled her neck on her shoulders and let out a sigh. It would be weeks before they got to the painful fun stuff.

Sparky smiled and moved his shoulder out of the way of Kida's punch. "Left-handed?" He whispered.

"Sure am. Wrong footed as Ola puts it. Kida whispered back to him with a small smile, glancing around seeing that not everybody had gotten into their stances.

Apollo got into the stance. He had taken up kick boxing a few years back as upon request of the counselor to “release his pent up emotions”. He didn’t have any pest up freaking emotions, that lady was just a (bad!).

So he turned facing her getting into his stance attempting to relax again. He shut his eyes for a moment waiting for the teacher to finish his directions before opening his eyes briefly to check his footwork, he was ok for now.

Zumi followed easily, assuming quite a weak-looking pose. She rubbed a pendant she was wearing and shifted into a more defensive stance. She was scared stiff of Mat now and she hoped they wouldn't have to actually hit today.
