The Beginning

[Athie]

"Oh.. ok..." Kuro said smirking

[Aura]

Ennui smiled. "I think you're over-thinking it., Kaiser. Your main enemy in the maze isn't the other teams, most of the time you won't even see them. Seeing their weaknesses won't help much. The name thing is more of a waste of time so late-comers can join. Of course, more people can join once we're in the maze, but this is simpler."

He placed his hand on the door behind him. "There's a reason for the doors seeming to be permanently shut. You see, our host wouldn't want things to be too easy, and he wouldn't want to take risks. So we guides are needed in order open doors such as these, to make sure you stick to the correct route. And as for what the maze is... it's really nothing more than a large gauntlet designed to test your skills. It provides enjoyment for it's master, of course, but it also lets him see how strong you really are. The rewards are simply a diversion. They are attractive, true, but that's it. He would willingly offer much more for this. I assume."

“Great....just like the Underworld Coliseum with Hades...just my luck.” he said shaking his head. Yes he did have a “small habit” of over thinking things but it was better then not thinking at all wasn’t it? Or was it just a nuisance that he constantly over...there he went again over thinking things. He sat down on the ground slouching over resting his hand on his chin as he tried not to think which was actually harder then he thought it would be in the first place. In the end he just whipped out his little green book and was soon over come by bouts of laughter.

[Athie]

"Who is this Host?" Forya pondered Ennui

[Aura]

"His name's Zazihr," said Ennui. "If you hear Wasi say Za-Za, that's who she's talking about. She's lucky she can say that and escape unharmed, if you ask me. Zazihr doesn't like it much. I don't really know much more about him. Wasi's the only one who has actually met him... well, Chagrin and bane did too, I suppose, but only for a short while."

"Interesting" Kret muttered "Well, where's my team? Or lack thereof?"

[Athie]

"You Haven't?" Kuro asked

[Aura]

"Over there," said Ennui, gesturing to the farthest door. "Where the one who looks like a little girl is. That's Wasi, the team leader. And no, I haven't. When I came, it was through Wasi. Chagrin and Bane came under... slightly different conditions."

[Athie]

Kuro stayed silent.

"What do you mean by that?" Forya asked

[Aura]

Ennui stared at the ground, tracing spirals in the light covering of dirt that lay over the rock. "It's not my place to say," he said after a long pause, casting a glance toward a window high in the rock's face, directly above their door. Condensation on the window made it impossible to see anything except grey, and no shadows moved behind it. "Perhaps that will be a story for a later time."

[Athie]

"Ah." Forya said "When Can We Start??!!"

[Aura]

Ennui shook his head and sighed. "If you really want, we can pass through the doors now, as we've already got our team name decided. Or we can stay, if Kaiser wants to spy on the other teams."

[Athie]

"Lets go!" Kuro shouted

[Icefire]

"Yeah, what she said, I'm ready to get out of this dump already." Darkstar muttered scornfully. "Yeah, lets go!" Mayvori yelped. She had already done some spying of herself, to find out that Wasi's team had some... odd members, of which whom seemed to really like...candy?

[GIR]

Noodles looked around. "The other teams look restless. So have we decided on a team name yet?" She asked Wasi.
