Baz scratched at his head. It felt weird having real hair and no ears. Everything was so much quieter and he had to ask a person sitting on the park bench to speak up. They were talking to someone on a cellphone, but he could have sworn that they said his name. He wanted to go home so bad, where he could scratch at his ears and use his tail for balance. He had already tripped several times over air. Either way, he was completely lost. At least he was on Katrina's scent, but that was his only form of map.
He looked odd in human form. Having black hair with a white stripe down the middle causes people to randomly shout out "skunk" while you go down the sidewalk. He saw it as a compliment that they could tell what he was, but they all laughed and joked after passing him.

"Whoa." He had just come across a garage sale where a lava lamp was sitting, turned on with the ooze floating around in it. He tapped at the glass, wondering if it was alive or not, only to have the lady shout something at him about breaking and buying. He decided to stay away from those "garage sales."

((Wha! I love it. He's just going around exploring. He may not be too responsible a guardian. XD))

Norali looked at the pond infront of her, through human eyes, the color of snow they were. The water was clear and helpful. She could see the fish swimming around, and a rather large bass. Norali licked her human lips and jumped into the water, catching hold of the fish she showed the riggling thing into her mouth. Forgetting a few things; One- She was no longer a bird/tiger, Two- She was now human and human mouths are tiny, Three- Humans don't eat fish like this.

In all of two seconds she spat the fish out angrily looking down at her pa- fingers. They looked sad, all pink and bare with no claws. Very sad indeed.

Norali climbed out of the pond, dripping wet. She shook herself off, looking down at her clothing. A paper thin black dress with silver sparkles here and there so it looked like the dress was covered in lint.

She sniffed the air twice, disgusted at how weak the nose of a human was. But she got what she was after none the less. It was the scent of a very important person, Nami. Norali skipped off in the direction of the scent, still dripping wet.

Nami was very superstitious and imaginative so after trying to "decipher" what she had been told, she ran back outside telling her mom that she may not be back in a while and started running back to the little stream.

Norali jumped up into the nearest tree when she saw someone running back towards her. Was it who she was looking for? Norali wasn't sure until the girl passed underneath her hiding place.

Her scent wafted up into Norali's nose so much that it made her sneez.

Lilliana Walked Through The City. After Her Day Of playing In The Fields And Forests Made Her nose Hurt From Some Kind of powder in the flowers. She looked at all the signs around town. There was a "wal-mart" yet it wasn't on a wall, and that made her confused. And then she passed by a store called "Fireworks". Is it impliying that fire really does work?

She scratched her head and went on. She was very hungry so she went into something called a "Food Lion", which she thought had lion meat inside. But when she walked in all she saw were fruits and vegetables. She sniffed a long, crispy green vegetable and it smelled nice so she put it in her pocket. A person saw her and, called some big people to carry her out of the store. Then the worse part was that they took away her vegetable!

She was outraged and continued to a "McDonalds". She walked in, and she found out she had to order her food, so she did, and ate it. A person had asked her for somethig called money, but she then ignored them. The person got mad and kicked her out. Lilliana figured she need some of this "money".

(Just remember they are humans in modern times - I think most people would know what money and stores are...)

Nami stopped suddenly and turned around cautiously to see what had made the noise. It might have been an animal so she tried to be slow and silent. When she saw Norali, she breathed in quickly and held it. "Wow. I didn't even see her there!" She thought as she looked, "This day just gets cooler and cooler"

[Aura]

Grace finally stopped, panting. "We won't get anywhere if you run me to death."

"You know very well you could run faster and longer. Don't blame me for your unwillingness."

"Ark!" snapped Grace sternly. "Careful! You know very well I can't do that, it's bad enough with you speaking. What if someone heard you!"

The cat's tail waved through the air. "There's no one here to see, and no one here to hear," said the grey tabby. "Trust me. I am, after all, your guardian. My job is to protect you, not to reveal the existence of other worlds to the entire human population. And believe me, that is far down on my list of priorities."

"Even so... it's not like we're out in the middle of nowhere. Someone could come. And why are we here, anyway?"

"Well, for one thing, I needed to talk to you."

"And you couldn't do that in the house?"

"I could, but I'd rather be out in the open. Besides, it's good exercise."

"Ha ha. Can you just tell me what this is about?"

Ark's eyes flashed for a moment. "Some of the other guardians are on the move. I can sense that they are in this world, though where they are I couldn't say. And if the guardians are here, chances are some of the other Avatars will discover they are Avatars before too long."

"So what do you want me to do, search the whole earth for them? Anyway, what's the point? Right now it's one vs. one. We're fine as we are."

"We can't assume they will be neutral, they could end up siding with the Ice Avatar. Then it wouldn't be one against one anymore. And you don't have to search the whole world, you have to search every world. Soon enough they could enter The World, and those with the power to might even go into the Spirit World or the Void. So all I suggest is that we start searching now before they spread throughout all the worlds.

A sigh found its way out of Grace's mouth. "Fine, let's go."

With a smile, the tabby leapt away, leaving the girl to run after him once more.

Baz froze. He could tell there was another guardian near by. He saw a girl chasing after a cat, followed them with his eyes for a moment, then finished scanning the area. He wasn't sure if he should suspect the girl and the cat, but they could have disguised themselves like he had. Of course, his disquise wasn't very confinsing. His hair stook out and he was clearly lost. "Avatar." He mouthed. He could smell her scent getting stronger. Katrina was approaching him slowly. 'She can't know who I am, can she?' He automatically thought, not thinking about the fact that she knew nothing but what was in the human world.

Lilliana walked into a small store, with all these ticking and tocking noses. All Of A Sudden, a small bird jumped out of a strange machine and scream "Cuckoo!! Cuckoo!!". It startled her and she jumped back, hitting a big shelf full of the machines. It toppled backwards, which hit another shelf, and then another shelf. And then a woman chased her out of the store screaming "You break it! You Buy It!!"

Ark stopped suddenly, his whiskers twitching.

"What is it now?" asked Grace, running up beside him.

"For a moment I sensed one of the guardians much stronger than I normally do... but I don't know if that means they are close, they found their Avatar, or just a fluke." Emerald eyes glanced around, looking for anything suspicious.

Grace followed his gaze around. "I don't see anything weird," she said, though her voice was hushed as she noticed there were other people somewhat nearby.

"Well, keep your eyes open for something," replied the cat softly.

[Icefire]

Midnight walked through the forest a few minutes later, near the edge where the sunlight broke through. She looked around, hearing something. She finally saw a girl and a cat, but sensed that there was something strange around them. As she got closer, she could not tell that the cat was a guardian, and the girl was..... AN AVITAR! Should she go and get a closer look, or try to see who they were first? She didnt know what the ice avitar looked like, but she could atleast see who this was. She would have to take the chance, and if it really was the ice avitar, what would they do out in the open? She started walking forward, slowly, and then more briskly until she stopped only a few feet away.

"You are the one...." Norali muttered, jumping from the tree she landed with one knee on the ground. She looked up at Nami and walked towards her causously. Looking at her with a mix of respect and curiousity.

"But your just a child!" She said suddenly walking around her in a wide circle, hands behind her back.

The alarm clock blared its unearthly wail as the lanky girl smacked the button down and rolled onto the floor, still wrapped in the covers. Rose looked up at the nightstand staring at the now upside-down numbers. 10:30…still to early, but since she was already out of bed she might as well get up and have another unproductive morning.

She scuffled her feet all the way to the bathroom and opened the drawer removing the contact lenses container with a yawn. She inserted the contacts into her eye blinking several times before scuffing her black tresses and yawing again. The grey slacks dragged along the floor as she trudged back to her room to get some clothes.

She pulled out the dark jeans and the band logo covered t-shirt throwing them on before perusing through her sock drawer and removing a pair of Nightmare Before Christmas toe socks and pulling them onto her feet. She wiggled her toes shoving them into a pair of black battered tennis shoes then grabbed her hat and headed down the stairs and out the front door.

Walking onto the stoop she bent down tying her shoes before taking off down the street in no particular direction. It didn’t matter where she was going, its not like she had plans or anything.
