Eevy smiled gratefully and sat on another bed facing her and pulled out her well-worn notebook. She riffled through until she got to the almost empty healing section offered it to Aie. "You can write notes? Or is it one of those changing songs that just comes?"

Desra walked up to her room, and dumped her bags on her bed. She walked out to see Rene and Sparky walking to breakfast. "Hey Rene! Hey Sparky!" she said, and walked up to them. "I wonder what school will be like this year." She smiled.
--------------------------------
"Hmm. I wonder how big the dorms will be..." Blair muttered as she sat down on one of her bags. She could barely wait for the year to start.

Lian smiled appreciatively at Shinbue and took both the packets and the small sculpture. "It is better than skittles, right? It won't melt in my pocket?" He asked his quietly, only half kidding. That last thing he needed was a melted water stain on the side of his pants. He smiled again and nodded slightly as he left, he turned back to the students and pocketed the little sculpture. He might just hand it off to one of the students. It could brighten up their day. He folded the packets underneath his arm like a horse jockey would do a riding crop before a race. He took a few steps to the right and then paused in his walk and faced his students. " Before I release you all unto the school, I would like to explain some of the codes and procedures we have here, and expect everyone to work by here." ((--be warned. I am thinking about school uniforms. -Anna--)) Lian smiled slightly," Don't worry. I don't expect anyone to walk around all day with a tucked in shirt that is wrinkle free with absolutely no laughter or any of that." As it was obvious with his purple hair and rather wrinkled and not tucked in, the chrome color of his studded belt shown through a gap in his shirt.
"Well, on to the rules, shall we?" He asked with a small smirk as he walked back the other way," The rules are rather simple, and finite. Rule number one, absolutely no fighting. It is much more dangerous here than any damp street in the downtown of any major city, anywhere in the world. The only fighting that may occur is the supervised sparring matches in Gym class. If you have any more questions about, just ask our gym teacher, Olakunde." He paused and then proceeded farther left than from where he started. "Now, rule number two is simple. The grounds are open to any and all students during free period. I won't jump into the explanation to the schedule. Which is located in these brown packets along with a self help map, you room key and other helpful things such as a completed list of not as important, but still important rules I'm not going to tell you here." Lian said returning to his original spot.
"Rule number three is also simple. The Seventh and eighth floors are off limits to every single student here. There is no exceptions. The basement is also off limits. I tell you this now, because this is the only rule that if broken is a one way ticket home." His voice became harsh as he narrowed his eyes at the group. But the harshness and ominous feeling in the air evaporated and he straightened up.
"Now, once released from my clutches" He paused and flashed a smile," you are free to mingle with any students, in the school or out. But I wouldn't recommend that now, you don't want to get lost on the grounds, now do you?" Lian's eye twitched slightly as his eyes cast down to his watch. This was running longer than he wished, Lian hated speeches, but if not him who else? Well...he would rather not think about that right now. "Breakfast is being served now, and it will be serving for the remainder of the hour. You may go to your dorms and put your things away and go there. After breakfast ask directions, or find them on your own, to your first hour class." Lian said as he moved the packets into his arms," Now when I call your name, please step up and take the packet, then you are free to move about." Lian said with a smile, finding the name sticker on the front of the top brown packet he took a deep breath and called out the first name. (I'm not going to call everyone's name and make up a few....it would take to long. So I give permission for the first years to take a 'very small' bit of control of Lian. Like he calls their name and they step up to take it and he smiles and says something that was supposed to be funny (or even was funny). But no more than that. please)

Kida leaned against the wall with her eyes closed, Beethoven's Ninth was playing quietly in her ears and her head was swaying to the music. She could just picture the orchestra playing it with the conductor waving his arms. The thought brought a smile to her face. She had never seen a live orchestra play, but she had seen some performances on television and it was a spectacular sight....everyone working to create a perfect sound. What magic!
Kida opened her eyes and realized someone was watching her warily. That girl. Mat.... Kida noticed the bandages in her hand and raised an eyebrow. She was the one that got hurt? Kida was about to say something but Mat held up her right hand for silence and then tossed the bandage to Kida. She caught the very front of it, the rest flying softly into her stomach. She rolled it up, still looking at the girl.
"Don't do me anymore favors." Mat said darkly. She turned around and walked down the hallway, well more like stalked. Kida shook her head slightly. What ever happened to that girl that turned her into such a mean person? Kida didn't know why, and she had the feeling she never would. Kida sighed and took out her headphones just after the crescendo and rolled them around her ipod and put it into her pocket. She pulled her hood up and over her face and pressed the elevator button beside her again. What was taking it so long? She had just wanted to say 'hi' to Eevy, and ask her about the carriage, but she wasn't in her class room. So now she was waiting for the elevator to go back down to the third floor for some breakfast. Just because she could create food, doesn't mean it tastes anywhere as near as good as Lolly's cooking.
Finally the elevator doors slid open and Kida slipped inside. She was expecting at least a few students, maybe even more hurt ones for Dien, but there was only another boy standing in the elevator. He was standing in the center looking down at the floor around his folded arms. Kida tried to identify him, but the mop of black and frosty white hair obstructed any view of his face she could see. Kida racked her brain for the identity and settled on the 'senior' Jakobe. There was some old gossip she remembered hearing about him. The rumor was that he had accidentally killed three students and almost killed another because his power surged and the computers in the library blew up. But of course Kida didn't know, she never actually found any proof, just whispers. Kida didn't necessarily believe it either. She knew how the 'grapevine' worked. What started out as a small electrical shock that felt like a bug sting could turn into an accidental onslaught of several innocent students.
It was best to just leave well enough alone. Kida had come to learn going to this school. There was a lot of rumors that started and died, new ones were born. And almost all of them turned out to be a load of bull. "I'm Khetela." She said quietly, holding out her hand. Kida looked at the elevator doors with an odd look before she looked back at the boy. The doors still hadn't closed.
There must be something wrong with them.
Kida watched as he raised his head and looked at her. He was smiling slightly," Name's Jakobe. Spelled J-A-K-O-B-E." He said with a friendlier smile. Kida grinned.
"Like Jay-ko-bee?" She asked sounding it out and he rolled his eyes slightly.
"No." He said," The E is silent." He explained. Kida was just kidding. She knew very well it was silent, she was just funning with him. Jakobe grinned and finally shook her hand. And when he did, she felt a small shock run up her arm, leaving the tips of her fingers tingly. She made a little squeak when she felt the pang of pain, and jumped slightly. Jakobe chuckled as he folded his arms again.
Kida looked sheepishly at the ground, embarrassed of her reaction. She jumped again when the elevator doors closed...the air felt different. She could feel electricity in the air, almost like it held electricity. Kida had to stop herself from thinking so maybe the rumor is true! There was no way to tell but to ask himself directly. But she couldn't ask that.
"What floor?" Jakobe asked, looking at her with slight amusement. Kida didn't like being like this, all jumpy and on edge.
"Three." She said looking at the key pad that was on the other side, of the elevator from her. The '3' button was already lit up. "So you are going to breakfast as well?" She asked. He shrugged.
"Yup. I can't wait to socialize." He said, he moved some of his spikey hair out of his face," I've been here all summer." He said like it was a bad thing.
"I wished I stayed." Kida said, tilting her head to the side. The 'electricity' in the air seemed more solid now, she could actually feel things snaking through the air now. Well it seemed like it anyway. And it also felt like the elevator was going extremely slow.
"I am sorry you are in here with me. I have to make it go slow. My powers get....well a little excited if there is to much energy being let out at once. So I have to make it go almost three miles and hour. Any faster and sparks fly." Jakobe admitted shamefully. And it was a pretty shameful thing. Eight years at the school and he still barely had any control of his power!
"Oh that's okay." Kida said, her suspicions about that rumor bubbled up again, but she kept her mouth shut. They stood in silence as the elevator continued in its slow decent and then they finally opened to the third floor, which held the cafeteria.

Mackenzie, his first name was Mackenzie. A murmur of laughter swept through the crowd when the Dean called out his name. He grumbled to himself and walked forward snatching the packet from the Dean’s hand avoiding eye contact before walking away grumbling under his breath. He hated his first name and now because of that incident it wouldn’t be long before the rest of the student body would be making fun of him. Epically in Gym class, he hated Gym class for that reason alone.
Apollo dragged his suitcase up the stairs heading off to the left before stopping and reaching into the packet pulling out the card key looking for his room number. His dark rusty red hair hanging down in his face as he scanned over the numbers before stuffing it into the pocket of his worn gray jeans and walking off toward the elevator punching in the up button once he got there.
Reid stepped into the office fiddling with the collar of his long sleeves button down starch white shirt before walking up to the counter and stuffing his hand into his pocket. “ So you said something about some 95’s right Miss?” he asked the secretary with a small smile before clicking his tonuge on the roof of his mouth.
Ethan pulled around back comming to a stop in the lot behind the school before jumping down off the bike and locking it up for the night before pulling out his phone checking for messages. As of right now no message was a good message. Now that he was back to work he wouldn't have a whole lot of time for galavanting across the world.
He headed back to the front doors passing Lian on his way inside heading for the cafateria. He was desperate for a cup of hot coffee right about now, although he didn't care for the stuff in the cafiteria because he usually made a pot in his room and just drank that throughout the day but he didn't have time for that right now so he would take his coffee where he could get it.

((I was feeling....smart.... ehh... and didn't sleep any last night. ))
Mat sat with a slight huff in the cafeteria. The room seemed to come out of any normal school, and possibly a large insane asylum. The walls and ceiling were white, and the floor was also made of white tiles. The tables were long picnic tables with a white boarded tabletops. Eight people fit on each table, four on either side. One the wall opposite the door into the cafeteria, there was a long buffet like table set up where the food was set, lunch ladies stood behind the tables to supervise the students to make sure they got the proper amount of food and didn't take extra snacks or desserts. At the end of the long table of food sat another lunchlady who sat at a small desk. Her job was to type in what every student was eating and also to keep an inventory on the food the students ate; like what they liked most so they knew what to buy and what not to buy.
Mat already had her plate of food, two apples, a salad with ham and ranch dressing, and a ham and cheese sandwich with a green tea for a drink. She had already started eating, even though her hand was healed it was still numb and hard to work with because of it, and the numbness in her head made her feel unusually giddy. Like she might crack a smile. Okay...maybe not that giddy.
The noise in the room was reaching above dull roar, and Mat could feel the concentrated aray of powers in the room, each one making a fuzzy stinging poke on the edges of her mind and it was hard to concentrate even more than it was before.
"Stupid everything." Mat muttered darkly as she took a harsh bite from an apple. Suddenly a dark form was sitting in front of her and then someone sat down next to the dark form. " Who is that?" Mat snapped not even looking at the second form.
Jakobe shook his head slowly. His friend really needed to loosen up sometimes. "This is Khete.....la..." He said trailing off. He didn't want to mispronounce her name. Mat looked up from the table and glared at the girl. Her face seemed so kind and innocent. Mat only glared. Kida didn't look perturbed. They used to be roommates. That was until Mat nearly blew up the chemistry lab because Kida hugged Mat on the first day they met and Mat absorbed her powers and then a day later the Chemistry Lab professor asked Mat to read the list of ingredients out... and the first two ingredients on the list was a half cup of baking powder and then a half cup of vinegar. And well in Mat's mind she thought of a little more than just a half cup of both. She read them out and they combined and blew out one of the windows. The room still sort of smells of baking powder and vinegar too.
Kida was moved out because Mat was to dangerous to be close to, thus creating an even more angst teenager, with even more of an anger problem. That was wear Jakobe fit into it all. But that is a long story Kida didn't know.
"Don't you get that I don't want to be around you anymore?!" Mat asked her bluntly. Kida sighed.
"Jakobe asked me to sit here. If you don't like it fine; but this isn't just about you, you know." Kida told her in a strong, however shaky, and firm voice.

The secretary looked up from her desk when he walked in and she smiled,"Ah, good to see ya." She enunciated, stressing on actually seeing him in the flesh and not through a computer network. She pushed back from the desk and locked the computer, so nobody could accidentally change anything from the school files without proper pass codes and could salve the algorithyms she had in place. And those were only the front running defenses.
She waved a hand to the supply closet that was pretty large to be called a closet. She walked over to it and opened the handle," I've hardly had time to even check how much ram these babies are packing. But I doubt they could even deal with two minutes of todays internet." She shoot her head slightly, "I've already got permission from Lian to order any upgrades that we need. He stressed on the need. So keep away from the wants.....if at all possible." Rachel new what it was like, building a working machine from scratch, it was almost painful to not give it the best motherboard and other bits of hardware money could buy.
She opened a few drawers with her 'key' a forever changing ball of copper that she can force into any key she needs. She can because in the center of the ball is a really tiny micro computer that she can manipulate into any shape, given the size ratio of the ball of course. It won't get any bigger. "Here are some parts I scrounged up here, tools are in there. " She waved a hand to the other filing cabinet.
"I think that is everything. Any questions?" She asked finally turning to face him.

"That's alright. I'll pay real good attention." Eevy grinned childishly. Then she stopped and put her book away. "Alright. I'm really paying attention now." She said a little more soberly.
---------- Art listened to the simple rules ans waited to go. He felt bad for Mackenzie as he heard the little snickers all around. He looked down at his shoes and thought about the order of names. "It's obviously not on a first name basis, and if it were last then I'd be pretty far down at line."

René looked up as someone called his name. Then he rose a hand in greeting.
Sparky grinned. "Hey Desra! Hey, you gotta tell me how your summer went! 'Cause I know from experience that René here isn't gonna say anything!" he grinned, he hated being stuck at school all summer because of his lack of control. He pulled his gloves up a bit and stuck out his hand to shake Desra's. "You know, school better be good this year. It better make up for the summer at least."

“Just two....what was I supposed to be doing again and about how much power would it take to possibly blow a fuse here?” He asked the second question nonchalantly almost before reaching into the front pocket of his shirt and pulling out a screwdriver. It was the kind that had a handle like that of a pen, Reid carried them around with him wherever he went as well as a well stocked arsenal of computer tools he kept in a black pleather case.
He walked over to the closet sticking the screwdriver behind his ear staring over the machines. They wouldn’t be nearly powerful enough for what he would like to use them for but with a few tweaks they would be good work computer’s.
The camera in his eye however was busy working on other matters. It was focused on the orb in the secretary’s hand attempting to strip it down and process the piece’s individually before drawing up schematic’s. The images flashed through his brain before he closed his eye finishing the picture.
Ethan stepped into the cafeteria blinking slightly attempting to shake off the grogginess hearing the argument from a distance. It seemed like everything was sorting itself out, nothing to worry about unless fists were thrown right?
He walked over to the coffee pots against the wall grabing a mug from the tray and pouring himself a cup grabbing a creamer and holding it in his hand for a moment as his fingers ate through the plastic letting the creamer drip out through the bottom. He was getting lazy again. That was Ethan for you, the most laid back man in the building.
Apollo rode the elevator up to his floor trudging down the hallway to his dorm the music blaring loudly in his ears as he set down his luggage and opened his packet digging around for the card key. He couldn’t seem to find it.
~Stupid enevlope....~ he thought rummaging around in the envlope some more.

Art looked up suddenly as his name was called. He walked mutely up and gave a weak smile as Lian gave a thin joke. He trudged inside and thought "I guess it wan't in any order after all..." He looked in the packet for the key for his room and started up the stairs."

Rachel raised an eyebrow at him as she thought about it," The limit is rather 'igh, but I don't want ya pushing the boundaries ya 'ear?" She asked pulling open the bottom drawers, when she was done the key returned to its original form and she put it in her pocket, "And ya are upgrading these babies until they run like -insert really fast computer here-." She said turning to him again. She noticed him eyeing the ball, when she had it out anyway, and thought about confronting him on it, but what was the point? She needed his help anyway. Best not to bother him so much.

Tiphanie strolled into the cafeteria with a small smile on her face. Just last year she was a student, but this year she was a teacher....well not really. She was a teacher's aid and the Study Hall surveyor. It was so exciting! She couldn't wait for classes to start!
She bounced into the line for food, her blonde and green hair dancing up and down with her movements. However once in line she calmed down. She couldn't act like her bubbly person with the students here. She had to act more sophisticated. The thought brought a giggle from her throat. It was a pleasent thought. Now she could make the rules! This year was going to be excellent!

Jerry yawned, running his fingers contemplatively across his neck tattoos. Just a few years ago, he had been a student here. He wondered vaguely how different things would be now. The main thing he was glad about was that he didn't have to take any classes. He hated these classes then, and he hated them now. He never did go to college. . . Anyway, he just hoped he'd make it through one month here.

"It just comes...I'm sorry, but, I can still teach you, if you wish, not really by notes..." Aie told, looking at Eevy, smiling.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Tai got ready to go eat breakfast and he walked out of the room and headed towards the cafeteria, Talon followed only a while later.
"How do you think this year'll be?" Talon asked.
"I don't know, but I /do/ know it's my last..." Taikato told, smiling scince he wouldn't have any more school.

Desra waved to Rene and shook Sparky's hand in greeting. "Yeah, well, my summer wasnt that great. We went to the mountains once, and that was about all. Other than that I didnt really have that much to do." Desra sighed. Her summer had been a little less eventful than usual. Her parents had given the excuse that people might get suspicious if they never got annoyed in her presence. Now that she knew a little bit more about her powers, they decided that she shouldnt be around too many people at a time.
She sighed again, and asked, "So how did your summer go?" she knew it was a pointless question, since Sparky probubly didnt really do much here at the school, but you never know. Something interesting might have happened.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blair watched Makenzie left, remembering a boy named Madison. The only difference was, Madison's first name was William, and he actually chose to be called Madison. Apparently, this Makenzie was quite different. She grinned at the thought, but still felt sorry for him. She watched Art go, and then soon after she heard her name called. She walked quickly up to take her key, and then smiled as Lian muttered a hello. She then jogged to her room, wanting to quickly get tobreakfast. She hadnt eaten yet, and she was very hungry. She soon found her room, and noticed that Art was going into his room about two doors down ((Is that pping?)). She waved, and quickly opened the door and dumped all of her things on the floor beside her bed. She came back out to find a girl and two boys talking a few doors down the hall, and stopped to ask which way the cafeteria was.
----------------------------------------------------
When the girl walked up and asked where to get breakfast, Desra replied, "Well, I think we are on our way there now. I guess you could walk with us since it is apparently your first time, so you dont get lost."
((Hm. I'm not as far behind as I thought I was.))
